Meet the authors behind the fabulous books at Velvet Morning Press!

K. S. R. Burns

K. S. R. Burns is the author of The Paris Effect and The Amazing Adventures of Working Girl: Real-life Career Advice You Can Actually Use. Burns has lived and worked in 22 cities, including Paris, and racked up a total of 59 jobs. Through her travels, she learned a lot about the world of work! In addition to writing a sequel to The Paris Effect, she currently pens a weekly career advice column for The Seattle Times. No longer a wanderer, Burns now resides in the Pacific Northwest with her husband and cat.

Adria J. Cimino is the author of Amazon Best-Selling novels Paris, Rue des Martyrs and Close to Destiny, as well as A Perfumer’s Secret and The Creepshow. She also co-founded Velvet Morning Press. Prior to jumping into the publishing world full time, she spent more than a decade as a journalist at news organizations including The AP and Bloomberg News. She lives in Paris with her husband, Didier, and daughter, Phèdre. When she isn’t writing, you can find Adria at her neighborhood café watching the world go by.

Tina Ann Forkner

Award-winning author Tina Ann Forkner wrangles words on the pages of her Women;s Fiction and Romance novels and kids in the classroom as a substitute teacher. Her novel Waking Up Joy is a Virginia Romance Writers 2015 HOLT Medallion Award of Merit Recipient – Romantic Elements. Tina grew up in Northeastern Oklahoma and currently lives in Wyoming with her husband, who knows when to wear a cowboy hat, and three teenagers who never do (even if she thinks they should)

Julie C. Gardner

Julie C. Gardner is a former English teacher and lapsed marathon runner who traded in the classroom for a writing nook. Now she rarely changes out of her pajamas, and is an author of Women's Fiction. She lives in Southern California with her husband, two children and three dogs.

Aimee Horton

Aimee is from Lincoln, England, where she enjoys drinking gin and spending time with her family (and she won't tell you which of those she prefers doing). As a child, one of her favourite parts of the summer holidays was to devour all the books in a little book shop in Devon. She continued reading at lightning speed right up until having children. She now reads with eyes propped open by match sticks.

Amazon bestselling author Vicki Lesage proves daily that raising French kids isn't as easy as the hype lets on. In her snippets of spare time, she writes, sips bubbly, and prepares for the impending zombie apocalypse. She lives in St. Louis (after 11 years in Paris) with her French husband, rambunctious son, and charming daughter, all of whom mercifully don't laugh when she says "au revoir." She penned the Paris Confessions series in between diaper changes and wine refills. She also co-founded Velvet Morning Press.

Didier Quémener

Didier discovered his love of cooking as a seven-year-old growing up in the French countryside. Today, Didier, as "Chef Q Paris," offers private chef services to tourists and locals in Paris, and teaches at The Michel Roux Jr. Cookery School in London. He worked on a pastry documentary with Chef Michel Roux Jr. for the BBC Four as well as "Kitchen Impossible" on U.K. Channel 4. Didier lives in Paris with his wife and daughter. He is a regular at the local markets and always enjoys a good coffee at his local café.

CF Rose

Cheryl Rosenberg, writing as C.F. Rose to protect the innocent, is a sportswriter turned romance writer. When she’s away from her laptop, you can find her at the gym or serving as her kids’ personal Uber driver. She grew up on the East Coast but survives in too-sunny Southern California with her husband, their three kids and two rescued mutts. The Whole Man is her first book.

Charlene Ross

Before life in the LA suburbs, Charlene Ross backpacked through eighteen European countries, lived in London, worked in the music industry, and became engaged onstage at a U2 concert in Verona, Italy. (Bono even kissed her!) Now she drives carpool, embarrasses her children by dancing "in the pit" at free cover band concerts, and works hard at keeping the spark of her 20-year marriage alive.
