Southern charm on the cover and inside of our upcoming release... Check out the official cover reveal for NASHVILLE BY HEART by award-winning author Tina Ann Forkner on Traveling With T -- and read an excerpt!

Small town girl Gillian Heart moved to Nashville to get a record deal—not end up on some playboy’s arm. That’s why she tells herself she can’t get too personal with sexy music agent, Will Adams. Will makes her heart flutter, but he’s also broken plenty of hearts in this city.

Will thinks Gillian has what it takes to make it in Nashville, but he can’t help being wildly attracted to her in a way that has little to do with music. She inspires him to change his ways, but he’s still wary about mixing business with pleasure. He did that once before and got burned.

But neither Will nor Gillian can deny the spark between them. As things heat up, Gillian dares to imagine a life with Will—even though she knows he’s not a forever kind of guy. And then Will makes a move—bringing back memories of the father who abandoned her—that makes her question him and her whole life in Nashville.

Can Gillian get over the disappointments of the past and find her place in Nashville, and with Will?

NASHVILLE BY HEART is set for release on July 5 in paperback and ebook!

Today we welcome Marin Thomas, author of The Promise of Forgiveness, who writes about nontraditional settings in Women's Fiction books...

A LOT of Women’s Fiction books are set in cozy coastal towns along oceans, beaches, bays, shores, harbors and in small, charming Southern communities filled with the scent of oleander and lilac.  I wasn’t surprised when my friends balked after I revealed the setting of my first Women’s Fiction novel—Unforgiven, a fictitious town in the Oklahoma Panhandle.

Five words that might come to mind when you think of Oklahoma…

Dust Bowl
Tornadoes
Oil boom
Native Americans
Cowboys

And maybe you’ve read one or more of these five famous novels set in Oklahoma…

Cimarron (1929) by Edna Ferber. The novel is based on development in Oklahoma after the Land Rush. The book was made into a movie by the same name in 1931 and again in 1960.

The Grapes of Wrath (1939) by John Steinbeck. It won the National Book Award and Pulitzer Prize.

Where the Red Fern Grows (1961) by Wilson Rawls is a children's novel about a boy who buys and trains two coonhound hunting dogs.

True Grit (1968) by Charles Portis is a novel told from the viewpoint of Mattie Ross, who recounts the time when she was 14 years old and sought revenge for the murder of her father by Tom Chaney. Considered by some critics to be a great American novel.

Mean Spirit (1991) by Linda Hogan is a novel about the Osage Tribe during the Oklahoma oil boom. It was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize for fiction.

The lists are compelling but not exactly filled with the adjectives or story lines most readers expect to find in a Women’s Fiction book. But I can’t imagine a stronger more turbulent atmosphere than the Oklahoma Panhandle to nurture the raw emotions of my flawed and stubborn characters as they wrestle with the theme of forgiveness and the power of redemption and absolution in The Promise of Forgiveness.

What’s the most memorable setting you’ve read in a Women’s Fiction book?

“Beautiful storytelling and vulnerable, genuine characters make this debut a must read.”
--USA Today Best-selling author Robin Bielman

Letters for Scarlet by Julie C. Gardner is now available for pre-order on Amazon in ebook format. Paperback is set for release April 4!

Pain can take a lifetime to heal, but hope lasts even longer…

Corie Harper is twenty-eight years old when she is first visited by a ghost—in the form of a graduation letter she forgot she wrote. Although she spent a decade burying that desperate girl and her regrets, each page resurrects the past, dragging Corie back to a time when all she craved was Scarlet Hinden's friendship and Tuck Slater's heart. But she couldn't keep them both and keep her word.

Scarlet is haunted in her own way, by memories of Corie and of a night that left her wishing she were dead. But Scarlet is not only alive, she's carrying new life: a baby she never wanted and is terrified to have. Convinced she would be a disastrous mother, she questions whether or not she deserves the love of any man. Especially the father of her child.
Letters for Scarlet traces one friendship from deep roots to branches torn by broken promises and loss.

Romance, the bayous of Louisiana, voodoo, family secrets... BAYOU MY LOVE by Lauren Faulkenberry is now available!

“Read it for the mystery, read it for the fire, read it for the magic.” – Katie Rose Guest Pryal, author of ENTANGLEMENT

Thirty-one-year-old Enza Parker is struggling to change the trajectory of her life. To prove to her overbearing father she can flip a house on her own, she takes on a project much too ambitious for her––and it puts her in the path of the most alluring man she’s ever met.

Enza plans to flip the house she inherited from her estranged grandmother, Vergie, in Bayou Sabine, Louisiana. As a child, she spent summers there until the day her mother—Vergie’s daughter—inexplicably left. Since then, Enza hasn’t let anyone get close to her.

Arriving in Bayou Sabine, Enza finds her house occupied by bedeviling firefighter Jack Mayronne. Enza has no intention of being a landlord, but Jack convinces her to let him stay––in exchange for helping her with repairs. With only six weeks to fix the house and sell, she’s determined to prove her father wrong––but she didn’t count on all the delicious ways Jack could distract her.

When Enza’s fling with Jack intensifies, she finds herself entangled with a vengeful arsonist from Jack’s past. As she reaches her breaking point, she must decide: Should she sell the house and leave her past in Bayou Sabine behind for good, or can she overcome her fears and build a new life there with Jack?
